2. The V&A Museum of Childhood houses the UK’s national collection of childhood objects. Rare, hand-crafted objects dating back to the 1600s sit alongside well-loved toys from the 20th century, allowing an insight into how different children might have lived, thought and felt, through the objects they were surrounded by throughout their childhood.
3. Bethnal Green’s former town hall is now an upmarket boutique hotel that has retained the Edwardian building’s Art Deco features and now combines stately sweeping staircases, marble flooring, high ceilings, generously proportioned apartment-style rooms and a decadent brass, marble-clad swimming pool with bling chandeliers and contemporary art.
